Privacy notice

Version 9 · Simorq LLC · Effective 3 October 2026

This notice explains how Simorq LLC ("Simorq", "we") handles personal data when you use the Simorq app. The assistant runs on your phone: your conversations, what the assistant remembers, your name, your interests and your saved items stay on your phone and are never sent to us, except an assistant answer you choose to report (see «Answers you report» below). Voice input and location readings use services of your phone's operating system, which are governed by their providers.

Who we are

Simorq LLC, a California limited liability company, is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. Contact: hello@simorq.studio.

What we collect, why, and our legal basis

Installation record. When you finish setup, the app sends us a record for this installation: a random identifier, a secret key that only this phone knows, the time you finished setup, the app version and your privacy choices. We add the dates the record was created and last updated. It contains no name, email address, phone number or location. We use it to provide our services, to apply your choices and to carry out deletion requests. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in operating Simorq.

Connection data. When the app contacts our services or downloads the model list, a model or a knowledge pack, your IP address and standard request details are processed to deliver the response. Downloads do not include your record's identifier or your conversations. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you. Our website, simorq.app, counts visits with privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (no personal profiles, no cross-site tracking).

Nest reports (with your consent). If you join the Nest, a copy of each report you write is sent to us with your record's identifier, the time it was sent and your display name unless you chose Anonymous. We use these reports to operate the Nest and to understand what communities discuss and need. Legal basis: your consent.

Your area (with your consent). If you choose to share your area, your Nest reports also carry either an area about 5 km across and, if one is close, the nearest listed city, both worked out on your phone from an approximate location reading, or a city you pick from a list. Your exact location is never sent. Legal basis: your consent.

Speed samples (with your consent). If you turn them on, the app sends up to 3 samples a day: how long the assistant took, how many tokens it processed, the model, the app version and your phone's memory class and processor type. We use them to improve performance. Legal basis: your consent.

Daily usage summary (with your consent). If you turn it on, the app sends a summary for each day, updated at most every 3 hours while you use the app: your phone's make and model, Android version and memory class, the app version, the model in use and 7 activity counts. It contains no text or content. While it is on, your phone's make and model, Android version and memory class are also kept with your installation record. We use it to decide which devices to support and to improve Simorq. Legal basis: your consent.

Feedback you send. If you use Send feedback in the Me tab, we receive your message, the topic you picked (if any), the app version and your phone's make and model, linked to your installation record. The app removes invisible characters and refuses exact locations before sending, and the sheet says what goes with your message. We use it to fix problems and improve Simorq. Legal basis: your request, and our legitimate interest in improving Simorq. The same applies when you use «Flag this report» on a Nest report from another phone: we receive that public report as the app showed it (its text and identifier, and the sender's display name or short identifier if one was shown), the reason you picked and your comment (if any), with the app version and your phone's make and model; it is kept and deleted like feedback. If reports from your phone are flagged, we may show a warning on your phone, suspend its uploads to us or add its Nest key to a signed list that phones use to hide its reports, and we keep these moderation records while the measure is in force and for no more than 12 months after it ends. Reports may be hidden automatically for a while when several people flag them, until a person reviews them within 72 hours; for questions or appeals, write to hello@simorq.studio.

Answers you report. If you use «Report this answer» on an assistant answer, we receive that answer, your question for it if you leave it ticked, the reason you picked, your comment (if any), the model's name, the app version and your phone's make and model, linked to your installation record. Nothing else from your conversations is sent, and only when you tap Send on the sheet that shows all of it. The app removes lines that look like exact locations from the answer and will not send a question that contains one. We use it to find and fix harmful, wrong or offensive answers. Legal basis: your request, and our legitimate interest in keeping Simorq's answers safe.

Deletion record. After a deletion we keep the record's identifier and the dates of the request and of the deletion, so that the identifier is never reused and we can show that the deletion took place. Legal basis: our legitimate interest and our legal obligations.

Your Nest reports, your area, speed samples and the usage summary serve separate purposes, and each has its own switch. You are not required by law to provide any personal data. The installation record and connection data are needed to provide Simorq; everything else is optional, and declining it affects only the feature it serves. Reports hidden automatically are always reviewed by a person within 72 hours, as described above; we do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who receives it

Within Simorq LLC, only authorised personnel who need the data for the purposes above can access it.

International transfers

Simorq LLC is based in the United States. Your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union and other countries where our service providers operate. When we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy.

How long we keep it

Your rights and choices

You can withdraw any consent at any time in the Me tab; this does not affect processing that took place before. Turning off the Nest stops new uploads.

Delete my data in the Me tab asks us to delete everything that came from this installation: the record, your choices, your Nest report copies with their areas, speed samples, usage summaries, the feedback you sent and the answers you reported. Only an acknowledged request deletes data on our servers; if the phone is offline, the app retries. A single report cannot be deleted on its own, and copies that other phones already received stay on those phones. You can send the request from this phone for as long as the app is installed.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format and withdraw your consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the European Union country where you live or work. Simorq has no accounts, so we can usually identify your data only through requests sent from the app. For any other request, contact us using the details above.

Notice for United States residents

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from you and your device, for the purposes described above: identifiers (the random identifier and IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (usage counts and speed samples), approximate geolocation (your area or city, if you choose to share it), device information, and the content of your Nest reports, of the feedback you send and of the answers you report (with your question, if you include it). We disclose them for business purposes only to the service providers described above. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. California residents and residents of other states with similar laws have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information, to use an authorised agent, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise them, use Delete my data in the Me tab or contact us. Simorq and its website do not track you across third-party websites over time, so we do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.

Children

Simorq is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from people under 18. If you believe that someone under 18 has given us personal data, contact us at hello@simorq.studio and we will delete it.

Security

Data sent between the app and our services is encrypted in transit, and the app encrypts the data it stores on your phone. No system is completely secure.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. We will change the version and effective date above and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again in the app.
